Hello! It’s great to see you here! :)
My name is Kritika Malhotra (कृतिका मल्होत्रा), and I’m a conductor, composer, percussionist, and teacher currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from New Delhi, India, I have been extensively involved in music for over 10 years, starting as a percussion player, and soon moving to composition and conducting studies. I hold a Bachelor’s in Music degree at Musicians Institute, Los Angeles.
I have performed live with a multitude of ensembles on 4 continents and have achieved numerous accolades from different institutions, including the D’addario Women in Drums Scholarship awarded by the D’addario Foundation in 2022, and the Musicians Foundation Scholarship, awarded in 2023. As a conductor, I have assisted various musical directors on their musical adventures throughout Los Angeles and have recorded various own interpretations of chamber pieces. As a composer, my works span across various genres including contemporary classical, jazz, rock, and pop, and have been performed by students of Colburn School, UCLA, and Musicians Institute. As a teacher, I have been giving lessons on drum set, ukulele, piano, and music theory to kids and adults since 2018.
